Will David Shearer consolidate his position as leader of the Labour Party this weekend...

Its the Labour Party conference this weekend.. David Shearer has a golden opportunity to consolidate his position as leader of the party and alternative prime minister. He has to make a real impact with an alternative state of the nation speech this week end. He would also be able to fend off pretenders such as David Cunliffe with a creditable performance. If he doesn't there will be challengers for his position.
